PROCESS & PRICING
Portrait Commission Process:
Step 1: Contact/getting started. You may text message me at 864-320-5251 or email me at [email protected] to get the process started. We will talk to determine the medium and size portrait in which you are interested: color oil painting, color pastel drawing, or black and white graphite pencil drawing.
Step 2: Photo session. I can come to your home or have you bring your child to my home for a very easy and quick photo session. I'll take lots of photos to give us many choices. Once I review the photos myself and select the best options, you will select the final option as reference photo for the portrait. In some cases, for black and white graphite pencil drawings only, a photo you have already taken may be able to be used. I am happy to review photos you have to determine if they will make a good reference photo.
Step 3: The portrait process. Once a medium, photo and size have been selected and the deposit is made, I'll get started on your portrait commission. This process typically takes about 3 months from photo selection. Once completed, final payment is required for me to deliver or ship the painting. I can also assist in helping pick a frame and framing and backing the painting with hanging wire for oil paintings, or select a mat and frame for smaller graphite drawings at an extra charge. For large pastel drawings, I recommend a professional framer.
Pricing: Please be in touch with me via text or through the contact page on this website to inquire about pricing. Painting and drawing prices fall on a sliding scale depending on the medium, size, and how much of the figure is included. (Example: head and shoulders only, 3/4 figure including hands, full figure including hands and feet). Prices are for unframed finished pieces. Payment plans are available upon request.
